What to know before shopping for CBD products

Whether you are looking for CBD oil for dogs Canada or any other product, you will need to consider making. There are several CBD products in the market, and thus, there are a few things you will have to keep in mind as you shop.

What is the label like?

It is not about the millennial or the color font. If it is a supplement for dietary, it needs to have a back panel with a health disclaimer and a warning section. It would be best if you access it through a third-party lab testing results also.

Has it been the third party tested?

All health experts agree that your CBD product needs to be tested by a third party to confirm its label’s accuracy.  It is a concern in the industry. In 2017, 84 CBD products were tested and found to be having lower does than what was stated on the label.  It would be best to look for a stamp for quality assurance or an analysis certificate from a third party – and not from the brand itself. Or you can go ahead and check the retailer’s website if it is not on the label of the product.

What is the dosing?

It is something very confusing for most people. Most of the CBD brands are not good at giving clear instructions to the consumers regarding the dosage. When thinking about dose, you have to think about whether the CBD is isolated or full-spectrum.

It means that with full spectrum, it could have other cannabinoids such as cannabigerol or cannabidivarin, which is essential as there is something referred to as the entourage effect. When placed all together, it becomes more effective than one.

For isolates, they usually are 100% CBD. You might only need 10mg of the CBD full-spectrum, but with the isolate, even having 80mg or 100mg, will not have the same effect.

Does it have any claim of curing any diseases?

If it does, then you need to avoid it. Companies claiming to have CBD cure certain diseases are better avoided. If they do, it means that they are breaking the rules or are not aware of how CBD should be utilized.

Do they have a batch number?

You know how you check your bagged lettuce or raw chicken whenever there is a recall to ensure that the one that you bought is not among those being recalled. You have to do so with the CBD products too. It is an indication that they are following acceptable practices as manufacturers.  There needs to be a way of ensuring you can identify the product if it was made improperly so that the company can make a recall.

Does it have additional ingredients?

You would wish to know what you are ingesting apart from the main event when it comes to supplements. Some CBD products add melatonin in their products. It would be best if you were sure of what you are taking.
